• AKAI EWI USB Update

This update is only intended for EWI-USB users who recently installed newer ARIA Engine-based products.

Problem: EWI USB configuration disabled after installing chipsounds

After installing chipsounds 1.501 on the same system as the EWI USB controller cannot be configured anymore. It seems like the MIDI communication between the application and the controller is broken.

    Solution:

EWI USB standalone does use a hack to generate that window which indeed breaks now. The EWI Standalone has been recompiled so that its internal code is in sync with ARIA Engine v.1111.

Please download the fixed EWI-USB Standalone from our Download section.

Users that have installed ARIA Player 1.111 (or newer) or chipsounds 1.501 in a system where EWI USB 1.006 is installed, will need to update their standalone EWI USB progam with the following update:

    How to use this update?
    - These are not installers, but only the standlone EWI-USB application.
    - Users need to extract and overwrite the previous (1.006) application.
